Younis Khan - Might not be a dummy after all
Refering to a recent article by Altaf on Younis Khan - The dummy Captain - I like his question - Dummy to whom ?? To the board or to the sitting captaing Inzi… .Younis' recent skirmish with Shaharyar led to latter's resignation and with Inzi under pressure due to comments from Zaheer Abbas regarding the Oval episode, Younis sensed an oppurtunity to lead the national side with less interference from either. His performance has been good recently. He was the captain in the Karachi Test against India, the only test in the series that Pak won and with a big margin. If he can lead the team well in the Champion's Trophy the pressure will shift on Inzi to claim his place as captain. Inzi's recent form has not been bad, maybe average, but he is getting old and heavy. He was twice ruled run out , though controversially, for not been able to return to the crease after stepping out to hit the ball. He should be happy if he last leads Pakistan in the world cup. Younis will be a no nonsense captain , a little hot headed though, but he will mature with time. Pakistan will be in good hands with Mohd Yousuf as his deputy. I leave you with a thought which my Pakistani friends would not like. What will happen to Younis if Pakistan fail to do well in the Champion's trophy, specially if that is due to any schism in the team.

i agree with ur comments about younis khan being a good captain and succeeding inzi ….however lets also not forget that even inzi is and has been a good captain and his batting and experience gives more strength to the pakistani squad.
