If cricket defines Barbados, the Kensington Oval defines West Indian cricket. It was the most fearsome symbol of West Indian invincibility between 1948 and 1994, when they didn’t lose a Test here. Between 1978 and 1993 they won 12 Tests in succession here. They beat everyone everywhere but at the Kensington Oval, they beat them to pulp. .
