Indian Pace Attack need to learn more-

I am not going to comment on the Final eleven or the poor selection of Team against the very Important Match against West Indies. But I would like to write on the Final Over happenings. Well The way Agarkar was bowling the concluding over prooved his incapability of holding his nerves in control. 4 runs in 3 balls were not too less to gave up. His Fourth Ball of the Over was too much short and wide to hit anywhere in the off-side Boundary, So did the Batter. He could have bowled a straiter one to the batsman, But It is the Biggest weakness of Most of the Indian pacers that they loose their control at the most important time of the game. We have to learn more disciplne. We bowled too many extra deliveries inspite of such a small total to defend. Pathan was looking like a "Gali Cricketer". He is Bowling awfull these days. He must need to increase his pace and need much more disciplne and line length. We can not expect our Key Bowler to finish with such expensive figures. He is Not a part time medium pacers, so it is his responsibility to work More in nets on his line and length, and offcourse his speed. We can not let this going for too long.

Now a very Important Game is aheading towards our team. We have to enter into the ground with a very changed game plan against the Aussies. The role of our  spinners is going to be very important. We need a solid start in Batting. A Long awaited good inning is expected from 'Veeru' and offcourse a Good Knock each from Sachin and Yuvraj. Last but not least, We have to improve the ground fileding. I will prefer Kaif Over Raina in that game and Powar over RP Singh. Sreenath should be considered in Place of Agarkar.

I agree with Jalal, he is absolutely right.. Indian pace attack needs a lot of dicipline. Bad bowling is putting the batsmen under pressure. We all want our team to score 300 otherwise its their fault. In this tournament where avg score was 230 our bowlers were exposed. We badly need a bowling coach. Someone of the class of Lillie, Akram or Holding !! We need to identify talent at the age of 12-14 in schools, inculcate a feeling, a desire to become a fast bowler, with aggression and prcision.. then nurture them. I refuse to belive that there is any dearth of talent in India , we just have to look at the right places. Punjab, Haryana is one. The other could be Delhi’s notorious Tihar Jail.. someone serving time .. young hot blood, give him the red cherry and ask him to break the stumps into two. Thats it ..

I think its about consistency. a few months ago we did witness a spark in the indian bowling attack in the form of Zaheer, Irfan and the newly found Munaf patel. What is lacking is their enduring fitness, conditions where they can perform and consistency in their attack. We also have sreesanth, agarkar and RP singh who can perform on their day and suitable condtions. we do not yet have consistent , reliable  performers who are exposed to all conditions and can handle pressure well. At the same time we need batting to support the bowling attack. So we can never win BIG championships only on the basis of strength in one department.
