Bret Lee out of the world cup
Australia received further setback when brett lee, their leading paceman was ruled out of the upcoming worldcup due to a ankle injury. Stuart lee takes his place in the squad which has been beaten recently both by england in the finals and a 3-0 drubbing by the kiwis. Lee’s absence is damaging to Australia’s chances of winning a third consecutive World Cup. They have injury worries over Andrew Symonds, Matthew Hayden, Michael Clarke and Ricky Ponting.With so much cricket being played in the recent past, this has taken toll over the fitness of the aussie players like any other team. Does this give australia a chance to win the championship for a 3rd consecutive time? will they make a strong comeback like true champions and rise to the occassion as they have done some many times in the past. cricket could not get more interesting at this juncture and the world cup championships are definitely more open than ever before?
