Australia seal remarkable win..again!

aussie winA dramatic turnaround on the last day of the 2nd ashes test match saw england losing the test, thanks to their 2nd innings slump after having scored a massive 551 in their first innings. After australia recovered from 376-6 to a 513 all out in the first innings,England needed to put the pressure back by scoring big and fast. Instead they took a defensive approach. Continuing from 57-1 overnight, they lost their nine wickets for 60 runs in the 42 overs on the final day of the match. Set 168 to win in 36 overs, Hussey and ricky ponting got them home with 3 overs remaining and sealed the fate of (yet another) remarkable victory

There are times when you want the aussies to lose. I wanted England to win this match and comeback in the contest. It is tough , but can be done. I was expecting England to make a match out of this after scoring positively in the first innings. But what followed was morale-shattering for the english and the fans.

England need to put this behind and approach the game with a aggressive mindset to match their opposition. They have absolutely nothing to lose..

But as they say, when you want something bad, you almost never get it. Keeping fingers crossed.
